How to Get a Superhero Body with the Right Mindset
Hey!
How’s it going? I had an awesome ‘Spartan’ workout today and I almost puked and fainted. I was saved by my trainer’s mercy. Hey that’s me on the right killing myself today with the kettlebell swings. Some think I’m sick in my training regime but irony of it all is that they keep asking how I do it. It’s probably no surprise because I look so different now compared to before. How different? I look more buffed and gained nearly 20kg of MUSCLES!!! Funny thing about this is that its all done in less than 3 hours a week. Half an hour per session only!!! I just got an amazing book, ‘ The Four-hour Body‘ by Timothy Ferris. I heard it’s a good book and it seems to reflect my beliefs.
Less is always more and more is always not better. My secret is to develop a ‘SUPERHERO’ body is about having the right mindset. BTW, the book is just right below here and I can’t wait to dig into this 500 plus pages of hardcover of book.
If you are really serious about building a strong and superhero body, these are the steps that I do to get to where I am.
Stop Self-Sabotaging yourself
People don’t realize how much they sabotage themselves everyday. The truth we can achieve big things in life such as the body we want.
I remembered how I was being talk down upon how my training regime would not work. Some of my friends did not think I could make difference as I was skinny all my life. Some even believed that it is 100% that I will stay thin and not buff up. Did I believe them?? Hell No!!!
How did I stop this negative influence? I could have believed them and stayed thin and be unmotivated for the rest of my life but I made the decision that this is not going to be the case. What I focused was on what I could do about it rather than believing those lies. I decided to take matters into my hands and made the first step. Stop focusing on the ‘lack’ of what you don’t have and focusing on the’ want’ that you desire!
Positive Thinking
When you stop self-sabotaging you will start thinking positive. Lets be frank, if you can’t think positive, you cannot be successful. Shit happens in life but you don’t want to screw up your workout. I remember one situation I had a terrible time at work and I was off to workout after that. I could have had a crap training session but I decided to stay positive and focus on my workout. As a result of the training I felt better and was able think better at work. Another way is to talk to positive people who will give you encouragement rather than hanging out with negative people that make the situation worse. In short just stay positive in any way you can.
Mental Imaginary
Seeing is believing. I wanted to look like a Calvin Klein underwear male model, Alan Valdez. So I decided to paste pictures of him by my bedside. Am I Gay? Hell No!! I am doing it to remind myself everyday that I am going to get a body like that. Does it work? It does!! It works for Tiger Woods, Bruce Lee, and Arnie. Whatever your mind can conceive you can achieve!!!
Self Belief & Faith
I used to never believe in myself and felt that most people are successful due to inheritance and luck. There is no such thing as luck my friend. You make your own destiny! My friend gave me motivational tapes that helped me with my ‘Self Belief’.People like Christopher Reeve who was paralyzed after an accident still has the ability to empower others in believing in themselves (Christopher Reeve pic). So if a cripple can do it, so can I! Self belief helps empower yourself to be successful, then do what successful people do and have what successful people have!!! If there is a will there’s always a way and it all starts from a belief.
Music
I’m a typical rocker! I love Heavy Metal and am in a local Perth band called Soulenoid. I love going to concerts and headbanging with metalheads and you’ll always see me in the moshpit going nuts. Music always pumps me up and gets me going, so I use the music I love to pump me up before a workout. If you like music use it to psyche you up. If like WWE, MMA or UFC, use it to psyche you up. It helps with your focus and gives you a nice pump at the end of the session. Hahaha…that’s me down there hanging on to my dear life.
I Hope that you are all psyched up to hit the gym and get the Superhero body. Thanks for visiting blog especially this is my first blog post. I would feel like a million bucks if you leave a comment below.
